•High ratio of soluble fiber to insoluble fiber.

•Improve quality of fat

◦Avoid trans fats

◦Increase monosaturated oils

◦Increase omega 3 oils (fish, flax).

•Smaller, more frequent meals.

•Reduce alcohol intake.

•Have mixed meals of carbohydrate, protein and fat.
